Library Legacy Society

Members of the Library Legacy Society are forward-thinking people who are partners with us in planning for the future of libraries. These legacy gifts let us know that resources are in the pipeline to help fulfill our mission to secure the long-term vitality of the Library. By making a planned gift, you recognize the extraordinary value of libraries in our lives and the benefit to future generations of readers.

The Library Legacy Society is made up of people who have made provisions in their estate plans with The Seattle Public Library Foundation as a named beneficiary or have made a substantial gift to one of the Foundation’s endowment funds. Learn how you can create your own Library legacy.

In recognition of your generosity and foresight, you can enjoy the following benefits as a Library Legacy Society member:

  • Invitations to an annual Library Legacy Society luncheon, other exclusive events and briefings
  • Invitations to private author receptions and book signings prior to public events
  • An associate membership to the Friends of the Library that includes preview access to their book sales
  • Subscription to the Foundation’s Next Chapter newsletter

If you have already made a planned giving arrangement for The Seattle Public Library Foundation, we hope you will complete our confidential form so we can thank you and learn how you would like to be recognized for this gift. Or to learn more about including the Library in your estate plans, please contact the Foundation at 206.386.4130 or foundation@supportspl.org.
